Peter strongly believes treating each patient like his family will lead to the best outcome. Through close tailoring of rehabilitation exercises and manual therapy, we aim to reach a function beyond pre-injury.
Growing up in a household of acupuncturists, Peter naturally gained an interest in learning about the human body. Understanding of both systemic human physiology and physical musculoskeletal dysfunction has allowed Peter to educate people with chronic health conditions on how to better fit physiotherapy into their lives.
Peter has also completed vestibular and concussion courses and is competent in treating patients with head and neck injuries from contact sports or motor vehicle injuries. He has enjoyed working with the NBL Manawatu Jets basketball team for two years and has treated many New Zealand representative basketball and CrossFit athletes.
Peter’s special interest is in the use of manual and electro-acupuncture to reduce either acute or chronic pain. Acupuncture can be used widely to treat biomechanical dysfunction, chronic inflammatory conditions, and can even be used to initiate proinflammatory responses to treat Post operative keloid scarring. He is continuing to expand his physiotherapy knowledge by studying a Postgraduate Diploma in musculoskeletal and manipulative therapy at AUT this year.
Peter is also fluent in Korean and is happy to provide help for people with English as their second language.
